NoUVIR® ACRYLIC FIBER OPTIC LIGHT GUIDES
Low Cost, Easy Installation, and Superior Light Transmission

DESCRIPTION: NoUVIR sells only aerospace grade pMMA solid "acrylic" optical fiber. This is the same material used to make jet fighter canopies. Measured light loss is a tiny 0.7% per foot. As the instructions above show, NoUVIR fiber is easy to install.

No planning everything to the inch. No hot knives to damage fiber (or you). No epoxying hundreds of strands into multiple ferrules. No "service loops" to cut off as fiber "caramelizes" (burns). No waste. Standard fiber is only $1.00 a foot. Do-it-yourself and light as you go.

Unlike stranded fibers, NoUVIR's polished fiber ends give awesome optical efficiency, extremely tight focus and beautiful even beams. Unlike glass fiber, NoUVIR fiber is opaque to both IR and UV and cannot transfer heat to exhibit cases or displays. And, unlike anyone else in the industry, our 10-year full replacement warranty includes yellowing or any loss of transmission. 500 feet of standard 3mm (1/8") diameter aerospace grade pMMA "acrylic" fiber provided in a continuous roll. Each roll of fiber comes with a set of four polishing buffs. A fiber cutter is provided with your first roll (and every 5 rolls in large orders).

DMSP ~ DIMMER-SPLICE™ FIBER CONNECTOR AND DIMMER

Connect two polished fibers end to end and adjust any luminiare from 10% to 80% of initial brightness. Connect one 3mm fiber to 6 individual 1-mm or 40 individual 1/4mm fibers.

EORL ~ ELECTRO-OPTICAL RELAY

The EORL ELECTRO-OPTICAL RELAY will electrically switch individual fibers and fiber optic luminaires. It receives a 3mm diameter fiber from a projector and a second 3mm fiber to any luminaire, locking them into collets at each end of the relay. The output fiber may be used to operate any NoUVIR fiber optic luminaire. The EORL RELAY is "NORMALLY OFF" until energized with 12 Volts D.C. Then it turns on light to the out-put fiber. When the power is removed, it turns off the output fiber and luminaire. 12V AC or DC, 0.2 amps, 2.4 watts. Male .250 tab terminals provided for electrical hook-up. May be operated continuously "ON".
